This full-day technical workshop, delivered by Project Controls Expo Meet in partnership with Roche and supported by PMI, brings together Lean, value-driven delivery, AI, and project leadership to explore how project professionals can create greater value in complex project environments.
Through interactive simulations, practical case studies, and expert-led sessions, participants will experience how collaboration, transparent processes, reliable workflows, critical thinking, AI, and high-performance leadership can improve project delivery.

Following the workshop, attendees are invited to join a complimentary evening networking event to connect with industry peers, exchange experiences, discuss real-world project controls challenges, and gain new perspectives through meaningful conversations and peer learning.

Antonio Nieto-Rodriguez

Antonio Nieto-Rodriguez is widely regarded as the most influential thinker of the 21st century in modernizing project management and bringing it to the executive level. Described by Harvard Business Review's Adi Ignatius as "the father of modern project management," he has authored 35 HBR contributions—more than any other author on the topic—and has twice been ranked among the Thinkers50. He is the author of Powered by Projects (HBR Press, 2026) and The HBR Project Management Handbook, a PMI Fellow and former Chairman, and Vice President of the Association for Project Management. Cyrill Bucher

Cyrill Bucher combines a technical background in timber and civil engineering with in-depth expertise in supply chain, operations management, and leadership. After several years in industrial Lean Management, he joined refine, progressing from Process Analyst to Lean Transformer and Country Lead Switzerland. His strength lies in combining process optimization, team leadership, and operational implementation. On complex construction projects, he supports Lean Design and Lean Construction, establishes clear management structures, and strengthens collaboration among project stakeholders.

As an architect specializing in sustainability, she support major construction projects in Switzerland in the implementation of Lean Design and Lean Construction, while helping to structure, coordinate, and manage complex planning and construction processes.

Denis Lassance
PMP, CPMAI, Ir, PhD Regional Managing Director, Europe at Project Management Institute
Dr. Denis Lassance, PMP is the Regional Managing Director for PMI Europe, where he leads the region’s strategy to empower project professionals and advance the impact of project management across industries and communities. He is a seasoned project management executive with more than 20 years of leadership experience spanning pharmaceuticals, medical equipment, petrochemicals, aeronautics, and metallurgy. Prior to joining PMI, Denis served as Vice President and Head of Pipeline Project Management at GSK, leading a team of more than 200 professionals responsible for accelerating the company’s pipeline. Throughout his career, he has championed the development of project leaders and the successful delivery of complex initiatives. Denis is a passionate advocate for the project management profession and frequently collaborates with industry leaders to enhance its impact. He holds an engineering degree, a PhD in Applied Sciences, and the Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification.

Stephen Carver
Senior Lecturer, Cranfield University
Stephen has over 40 years practitioner and academic experience in the change business. He has lectured globally and is well know for blending theory and storytelling into captivating conference keynotes. He has worked across all industries – including pharma and is well known for his fast moving and fun lecturing style.
